When a personal account is required

Some services call upstream systems using your account, such as a personal token or browser-authorized account. Services configured with a shared account may not need this step. If setup or doctor reports a missing, expired, or reconnect-required account, open your personal portal.

Connect an account

  1. Open your company's MCPHub /client-auth/ page and sign in.
  2. Find the target service under connected accounts and choose to connect an account.
  3. For browser authorization, select your upstream account and confirm permissions. For a token, enter your personal token, optionally add a note and expiry, and choose to verify and connect.
  4. Confirm that the status is connected. Authorization details show the account, permissions, expiry, and whether automatic renewal is available.
  5. Continue in your client and run doctor for the entry if needed.
Enter upstream credentials on the account-connection pageYour AI client configuration does not need a personal token or credential-storage path. Multiple authorized clients for the same service can use your account, while each entry keeps its own limits.

Reconnection requiredReconnect and check credentials and upstream permissions.

Replace or reconnect an account

Reconnecting replaces the current upstream account, invalidates existing client grants, and may cancel running requests and subscriptions. Afterward, run client authorize or setup again, then restart connections.

A first connection can satisfy existing grants. Replacing an account, or connecting again after disconnection, requires new authorization. Completed business operations are not undone.

Disconnect an account

Choose disconnect and confirm. Related client grants become invalid. To revoke the upstream service's authorization to MCPHub, follow that service's authorization-management process as well. Signing out of the browser or using local logout does not disconnect an account.

If connection does not complete

Cancellation or failure keeps the previous connection. If a link expired, start account connection again. If a token is rejected, check the account, expiry, and business permissions. If configuration changed during connection, refresh the portal and retry.
